Recycling & Refuse Collection service today 03/03/18 Bulky Freighter Service cancelled
Published: 28 February 2018
Unfortunately we are unable to run a normal recycling & refuse collection service today because of the bad weather & road conditions throughout much of the borough. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will re-start operations as soon as possible and will update this website with information: https://www.tmbc.gov.uk/extreme-weather/waste-service-updates. In the meantime, please leave your bins/boxes out on your normal collection day unless we advise otherwise. This has also impacted on emptying of banks at many of our recycling sites.

Following discussions with our contractor throughout this morning, and information received from around the borough regarding road conditions, the decision has been taken to suspend all recycling & refuse collections for today. Veolia staff are currently assisting KCC Highways with gritting pedestrian areas around the borough.
The Saturday Bulky Freighter Service has been cancelled for Saturday 3 March. This is because if we can get any freighters out on Saturday, they will prioritise missed bin collections from earlier in the week. If Parish Councils and local Ward Members could help share this information, particularly regarding the Saturday Service, it would be much appreciated
Updates are being provided as usual on our website (https://www.tmbc.gov.uk/extreme-weather/waste-service-updates) & via Twitter & Facebook.
