Tonbridge and Malling CSU
Published: 08 February 2019
The Tonbridge and Malling CSU are currently putting together our Spring Plan based on analytical data but CI Steenhuis has asked me to update you today ahead of that.
The main crime types identified and being reported are thefts from sheds and garages. Please can you encourage residents to consider the value of items stored outside the house and also the security of sheds / garages. There will be more information on this to follow . It is also the time of year when Rogue traders and fraudulent unsolicited callers attend people’s homes particularly for garden and roofing work. The message is to report suspicious activity to Police and to look out for those who are vulnerable to fraud or intimidation.
On a positive note, a suspect for night time thefts from motor vehicles in Snodland has been identified and arrested. Reporting of crime by residents and CCTV footage provided a pattern with identifying characteristics that assisted with the arrest and subsequent interview.
