Water supply update
Published: 20 July 2022
Due to temperatures soaring across our region in recent days we’re having to pump much more drinking water to customer taps than normal.
We’re aware there were customers in the Seven Mile Lane, Wateringbury, East and West Peckham, Yalding, Hadlow and Paddock Wood areas who may have experienced low water pressure or no water at all yesterday evening and may continue to do so this morning.
We are very sorry for this.
It’s been caused by water was being drawn from the network quicker than we could treat it and refill our underground storage reservoirs and pipes.
While we’ve been able to replenish supplies overnight, there may still be areas affected this morning.
A bottled water station has been opened for anyone who remains without water at:
· Village Hall, Bush Road, East Peckham, Tonbridge TN12 5LL
Our teams have been out and about proactively delivering bottled water to those customers on our Priority Services Register who are most in need.
Our free Priority Services ensures our most vulnerable customers receive as much help and support as we can provide during these incidents. Customers can register and find out more about the services we provide here
